{Favorite SLC Building}

I have always thought that the old Hansen Planetarium was one of my favorite historic buildings in Salt Lake. It was built in 1905 and was the cities first public library, later it served as the home for the Hansen Planetarium from 1968 to 2003. Recently it went under a HUGE makeover to become the flagship store for the Utah owned O.C. Tanner jewelry company. It is UNREAL! I am amazed at how beautifully they re-did this fantastic building, inside and out! Check out these pictures that were featured in last months Utah Style and Design!

{vintage broache bouquet}

What a creative idea! These wedding bouquets are made completely out of vintage broaches. I love how unique these are and that you would be able to keep it forever! The bottom one is my favorite... so pretty!

{wishing for spring}

I have never been the biggest fan of winter, especially winters like this where it is cold, yet there is no snow. I am really starting to miss warmer weather, sunny days, and lovely flowers. Luckily my amazing boyfriend is sweet enough to get me a beautiful bouquet of flowers every month to save me from my winter blues. These pictures make so excited to see all the spring flowers bloom... but until than, my bouquets will do just fine. <3>

simple white rooms, four poster beds, dramatic wall coverings, crystal chandeliers, and amazing satin sheets... All so beautiful and some of my favorite things!!

{nothing is worse...}

So typical of Utah to take something trendy and beat the hell out of it until it becomes unbearable to look at any longer. These knit headbands were kinda cute...AT FIRST. However, now that nearly 95% of the female population is wearing them, I have no tolerance for them any longer. I do not own one of these "unique" headbands but if I did, I would bury it deep in my closet or better yet...throw it away. This fad must end before my sanity is lost.

{exposed brick}

I am really liking exposed brick walls used in interiors. They add so much character to a room and I love them with clean white washed walls and wide floor boards. They would also go great with high ceilings and exposed wooden beams! ~
