{exposed brick}

I am really liking exposed brick walls used in interiors. They add so much character to a room and I love them with clean white washed walls and wide floor boards. They would also go great with high ceilings and exposed wooden beams! ~

{fall is in the air}

Farewell summer! I woke up this morning to pouring rain, followed by snowfall. It would appear that summer is officially over and fall has began to take its place. I really love autumn months but they always seem to turn to winter too quickly! I could do without the snow. However, I am excited for everything that fall has to offer; baking, falling leaves, pumpkins, warm sweaters, cuddling in blankets, and apple cider! Yummy!

{coveting}

Saw this beautiful Marc Jacobs bag in Seattle at Nordstroms last weekend and fell in love! I actually can't decide if I was more in love with the AMAZING 5 story Nordie's or the bag...we'll say its a tie!

{mr. and mrs. lewis}

I haven't been great on updating my blog lately but a few weeks back Matt and I went back up to Bozeman to attend our friend Jen and Tony's wedding. Matt was a groomsman and the wedding was beautiful and SO much fun! Jen looked wonderful, the food was AMAZING, we had a blast drinking and dancing until late in the night! It was so great to be able to spend some more time in Bozeman with our friends and be a part of their wedding.

{love}

I have been lucky enough to find true love and I am so grateful for Matt! We are going to Seattle this weekend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! Yeah! Love him so much!

{only the best}

So, my wonderful friends Claire and Leezanna came to visit me up in Bozeman last weekend and we had a blast! Summer is ending for me up here and I will be moving back to Utah on Saturday, so it was great to have some friends come up and celebrate my last weekend with me!
Matt also got a new car! A 2009 4-door Honda Civic, so proud of him and his big boy car! :) I am beyond lucky to have such great friends, family, and an amazing boyfriend!

{pretty kitchens}

I think that my favorite room in a home is the kitchen. I really love cooking lately and I am always looking at kitchens I would put in my dream home that would be fun to cook and eat yummy meals in! These are some of my faves...

{mini torch}

I miss my mini torch...Erin Anthony. Hopefully July 29 rolls around here pretty soon so she will come visit me. Erin...if you are reading this let me bribe you by saying we can make a trip up to your hometown of Butte, Montana and count how many people are missing limbs. I know that will persuade you to get up here as soon as possible. I need someone to gossip with... Life is so much more dull without you!

{lucky me}

So...after a month of job searching in Bozeman I was getting quite discouraged and starting to think I was going to have to move back to Salt Lake. LUCKY ME however, got an email from a family asking if I would want to be a nanny up in Big Sky, of course I said YES!!! Big Sky is a beautiful resort town about a 40 minute drive from Bozeman. The family is wonderful, 2 kids, Stella age 1 and Garrett age 9. I also really love the parents Gena and John and enjoy spending time with them and the kids doing fun things around the town of Big Sky and occasionally taking them down to hang out in Bozeman. One of the best perks of the job, along with several others, is membership to an AMAZING private golf and ski community called Spanish Peaks. I have never been a golfer in the past but this summer has gotten me hooked on the sport already! Who couldn't get hooked on free golf at one of the top 10 private golf courses in the country?? Everyone at the lodge at SP is very nice and welcoming and me and Garrett like to go and hit balls at the driving range, play a few holes, grab a great lunch, and hit the hot tubs and steam room while we are there. Stella enjoys it too, but she mostly likes to play in the golf cart and throw balls around. One of the other things I have loved about spending so much time up here is all the wild life I get to see up close! The other day we were driving up to Spanish Peaks and came across a giant Black Bear just hanging out in the middle of the road...we were about 5 feet away from it! I also get to see Moose, Elk, Deer, Rabbits, and Rams on pretty much a daily basis. It has been a wonderful summer so far and I can't wait to finish up the summer here! I am surely blessed to be given this opportunity and placed with such a wonderful giving family, all while getting to spend the summer with my wonderful boyfriend. I couldn't be happier!

{Dark Sexy Walls}

I love how dark walls make a room feel instantly warm, comfortable and inviting. The complete opposite of some rooms I've seen that are all white. I also love how artwork looks against a dark backdrop. I almost think most art looks better against black. Black is dramatic and daring. It has that forbidden quality, which is irresistible. I think of sexy black negligees and fast black cars. A room painted black is a place where you can tell secrets. The semigloss finish gives it an edge, like patent leather, and makes everything pop. You have to be very confident to use black, and that kind of confidence is very attractive.

{Blooms in a Bag}

I found this great idea at a cute shop called Hey Day in Bozeman. I bought the "Forget me Nots" and so far they are growing like crazy, no blooms yet but the little sprouts have been getting really tall. I think this is such an excellent idea! You don't need a separate planter and you can grow these year round, no need for an outdoor garden. I will take a picture of mine as soon as it starts flowering and post it on my blog!

{my daily horoscope}

Virgo, August 24 to September 22: Lots of indecisive energy is around you, and it could cause some scheduling delays. The good news is these hindrances happen for the best! So if you can be flexible and just go with the flow right now, you will open your life up to more spontaneity and excitement. Let things be messy and imperfect, and you'll enjoy them more. Who cares if you don't have the perfect outfit or you're five minutes late for the movie? Trying to make things flawless is not worth the trouble..

{beautiful atlanta home}

These lovely photos are from a recent issue of Atlanta Homes, I am in love with this beautiful home and the great use of color in every room. This could be one of my favorite homes ever featured in a design magazine. I love how clean and traditional the home feels, it is WONDERFUL! ...makes me want to move to Atlanta!
